Corum Delivers Hoisting Pulley to Norilsk Nickel
OREANDA-NEWS. Corum Infrastructure Project Division shipped Sh6A hoisting pulley to the world largest producer of nickel and palladium MMC Norilsk Nickel.
"The last year can be considered a record one in terms of pulley fabrication and delivery: there were 13 units of equipment, including two customized ones manufactured with application of new technical solutions enabling the customer to cut by half the time spent for machinery servicing," noted Vladimir Merzlikin, Director of Corum Infrastructure Project Division.
In 2014 it was already the fourth pulley fabricated and shipped for our regular customer MMC Norilsk Nickel. In addition, other equipment manufactured by Corum is operating at the customer's facilities, including, for example, main mine fan, mine transport, hoisting equipment.
Brief overview of hoisting pulleys
The equipment is designed to support and guide steel ropes of cage and skip unbalanced winders. It is installed on the under-pulley platform of mine headgear. It has fully welded or riveted structure and is manufactured in 11 standard sizes with winding diameter ranging from 2 to 6 meters for rope diameters from 25 to 65 mm. It is possible to customize pulley blocks.
