The press service of the company informed about it the agency "AUTOSTAT", noting that in November the production of model Toyota Camry seventh generation began. At the same time, the plant opened new shop stamping body parts and production of plastic parts, whereby the level of localization of production reached 30%.

All cars Toyota Camry, which are sold in the dealer network in Russia, are produced locally. Sales of Toyota Camry in Russia last year increased by 3.7% to 34,117 vehicles. As noted in the "Toyota Motor", Toyota Camry is the best selling business-class sedans in the Russian market, occupying 38% of the segment D / E. In addition, the St. Petersburg plant Toyota in 2014 delivered 3084 Toyota Camry cars in Kazakhstan (1.4%) and 224 cars of this model in Belarus (-12.2%).

By the end of 2015 the plant "Toyota Motor" in St. Petersburg plans to double its capacity from 50 thousand to 100 thousand cars a year. In 2016, the company will begin the production of the second model - Toyota RAV4 crossover of the current generation, which will be delivered to the markets of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus. The plant will create about 800 new jobs. Total investment since the founding of the company in the development of the plant "Toyota Motor" in St. Petersburg, including new investments in the production of the Toyota RAV4 model, will be about 16 billion Rubles in 2016.
