Due to the potential passengers` strong demand for purchasing tickets for Ukraine International Airlines` flights directly from the carrier, March 2, 2015, UIA opened the Representative Office in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The opening ceremony was attended by UIA partners, the employees of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Uzbekistan and in the Republic of Tajikistan, the Ambassador himself, as well as the representatives of Ukrainian companies operating in Uzbekistan.

 “Opening a Representative Office in Tashkent UIA aspires to meet the demand of its Uzbek passengers, – noted Anton Mattis, UIA Sales Director. - We are confident that further development of air traffic between Ukraine and Uzbekistan will strengthen cultural, friendly, and business links of our countries. Moreover, taking advantage of UIA fast-growing route network, passengers from Uzbekistan can travel to Kiev and beyond to the cities of Western Europe and Asia, Middle East, the CIS countries and USA”. UIA launched non-stop scheduled service to Tashkent on August 14, 2014. Within the period of 6 months UIA operated 80 flights en route Kiev – Tashkent – Kiev and carried over 9000 passengers.
