OREANDA-NEWS. South Korean automaker Hyundai-KIA does not plan to decrease production at its plant in St. Petersburg and Avtotor enterprise in Kaliningrad. This was announced by Kim Seong Hwan, President of Kia Motors Russia, who said that the crisis is a good chance for the South Korean automotive industry, operating in the Russian market. According to him, the advantage of the enterprise is in the active sales policy, TASS agency reports. Mr. Kim believes that this behavior “wins the special sympathy of the customers”. 

He also mentioned "invaluable" government support to the automotive market. According to the President of KIA Motors Rus, utilization and trade-in program and preferential car lending program are very strong support of the automotive industry, they are both effective.

Meanwhile, the head of KIA Motors Rus forecasts decrease in the Russian automotive market by a third in 2015. "There is no specific forecast in this market. The previous forecast of passenger car and LCV sales, prepared by Association of European Businesses (AEB) is 1.89 million vehicles in 2015, i.e. 24.2% decrease. But I think the figure will be about 30%, "- Kim Seong Hwan.
