OREANDA-NEWS. According to data of AUTOSTAT analytic agency, 575.7 billion roubles were spent for new vehicle purchase during the first four months of 2015. That is 25% less than for the same period of the previous year (764.7 billion roubles).

We should remind that new passenger car sales decreased by 38% to 487,600 vehicles in January – April 2015. At the same time the average price of a new car increased by 21% up to 1.181 million roubles. 

According to analysts, the average cost of foreign vehicles grew by 24.5% up to 1.353 million roubles, while the increase in the average price of Russian brands was not that considerable – only by 14.9% up to 482,000 roubles.     

According to Sergey Tselikov, director of AUTOSTAT agency, many automakers started to decrease prices in their price lists in April-May. This should cause some reduction in the average price as compared to the previous month. However, this index will still be more than a year ago.
