OREANDA-NEWS. According to AUTOSTAT analytical agency, the companies imported 112,700 passenger cars to Russia, which is 50.8% less than for the same period in 2014.

The lion’s share of import (84%) was generated by vehicles of ten brands - Toyota, Hyundai, Mercedes, Lexus, Audi, Mitsubishi, Land Rover, Nissan, Daewoo, Volvo. Over a half of import (51.3%) came from the first three brands - Toyota, Hyundai, Mercedes. 

During the first four months of 2015 positive dynamics was mostly registered by premium and some Chinese brands - Lexus (+52.3%), Porsche (+21.7%), Faw (+149.6%), Dongfeng (+179.7%), Acura (+19.9%), Haima (+308%), Smart (+103.4%), Bentley (+63%), Rolls-Royce (+89.4%), Lamborgini (+266.7%), other manufacturers were in the red.

The first place in passenger car import in Russia belongs to Japanese Toyota (30,000 vehicles; -13.5%). Hyundai (13,000 vehicles; -36.7%) is on second place, Mercedes (13,900 vehicles; -14.2%) is on the third place. The fourth place was taken by Lexus (9,500 vehicles; + 52.3%), and Audi (7,200 vehicles; -22.9%) is the fifth. TOP-10 also includes Mitsubishi, Land Rover, Nissan, Daewoo, Volvo (2,800 vehicles; -53.5%).
