OREANDA-NEWS. August 13, 2015.  In his opening address at the 3rd International Eurasian Taxi Forum, Nikolay Asaul, Deputy Transport Minister of the Russian Federation, highlighted the role of the IRU and its Smart Move Working Group in disseminating the best international practices across Eurasia. Over 600 participants representing the taxi business community, federal and regional competent authorities and international organisations attended the forum to discuss developing issues in the industry. The role of Internet technologies, adaptation of industry regulations for emerging challenges and ways to increase competitiveness, were among the topics.

Oleg Kamberski, IRU Head of Passenger Transport, commented, “The forum provided an excellent opportunity to raise the issue of professional training in the industry and rules for access to the market for taxi companies. Participants are highly supportive of our work and we’re aiming to further develop cooperation on the Eurasian landmass, as well as welcoming new partners to our Global Taxi Network in the next months.”
