OREANDA-NEWS. Festivities dedicated to celebrating of Oil and Gas Industry Workers Day were held in Almetyevsk (Republic of Tatarstan) on September 5.

The celebration festivities were attended by Rustam Minnikhanov, Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Nail Maganov, General Director of PJSC TATNEFT, Shafagat Takhautdinov, Assistant to President of the Republic of Tatarstan on the Oil Industry Issues, Ayrat Khayrullin, Head of Executive Committee of Almetyevsk Municipal District, heads of ministries and departments of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan, honored guests from the different regions of the Republic and Russia, heads of the municipalities of the oil region in the Republic of Tatarstan, veterans of the oil industry, workers, professionals, managers of the oil and gas production divisions and enterprises of TATNEFT Group of Companies, employees of related industry branches and the social sphere.

Within the festive program there was held presentation of the parks and squares opened during Parks and Squares Year in Tatarstan. The foundation stone and time capsule for new 50 meter Miras Swimming Pool was laid.

A theatralized part of the celebration at the city Maidan continued with colorful represenation of the history of oil development in Tatarstan and solemn parade of best workers of TATNEFT Group of Companies — representatives of crude oil production and service enteprises, workers of petrochemicals production and oil refining, petroleum products and distribution marketing networks and others.

Rustam Minnikhanov, Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan, in his address to the audience highly praised the contribution of the oilmen to economic and social development of the Republic and congratulated everybody on Day of Oil and Gas Industry Workers.

General Director of PJSC TATNEFT addresed the residents of the oil region with welcoming remarks and congratulations. According to Nail Maganov, the Company’ s key growth points are conventional oil production, development of natural bitumen fields, oil refining, petrochemistry, and expansion of filling stations network. In the current environment, stakes are placed on innovations, high quality management and competent staff, which makes it possible for the Company to become more resilient, more competitive, more dynamic and to reinforce its standing in the industry.

Nail Maganov expressed gratitude to the pioneers of oil industry, who standed at the origins of Tatarstan oil, generation of oilmen assured further progressive development of the Company, and young people, who are the Company’s future. General Director of the Joint Stock Company also emphasized effective joint work with the partners — the collectives of service companies of the Republic, and a valuable contribution of the social sphere workers to the development of oil industry.

The celebration continued with equestrian competitions at the racetrack, and a concert featuring well-known artists of the Russian and Tatar stage.

In the evening, popular Tatar and Russian variety artists will give a concert for young people on the Oilmen's Square. The celebration events will end with festive fireworks.
