OREANDA-NEWS. On November 4, 2015 the delegation of JSC "NC" Kazakhstan Temir Zholy", headed by the president of the company Askar Mamin took part in the 63rd meeting of the Council for Rail Transport of the CIS and Baltic states in Tashkent.

The meeting was attended by members of the Council - the heads of the railway administrations of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, the Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

The event was also attended by associate members of the Council - the heads of the railway administrations of Georgia, Latvia. In accordance with the Regulations of the Board the heads of railway administrations of Lithuania and Estonia have arrived to the meeting.

The meeting approved the following agenda:

• implementation of the decisions of the 62nd session of the Council, and the results of the operational work of the railway network for 9 months of 2015

• the outcome of the passenger transport in international traffic for the 9 months of 2015;

• on the outcome of the development of the train schedule, a plan of formation the freight trains and wagons with containers in international traffic in the 2015 - 2016 years;

• on the results of the census of freight cars, held in May 2015, and the preliminary results of the census of containers held in September this year;

• the status of settlements between railway administrations in the first nine months of this year;

• on the tariff policy of the railways in the transportation of goods in international traffic for 2016 freight year;

The Board also considered a number of other issues of rail transport operations in the interstate route. Next 64th meeting will be held in May 2016 in Georgia.

Railway Transport Council established in February 1992, heads of government - members of the Commonwealth for the coordination of rail transport at the international level and the development of agreed principles of its activities.

The Council for Rail Transport is one of the most popular and effective in developing a system of sectoral bodies of the CIS. The developed documents, taken decisions by the Council give practical positive results.
