Tableau Software's Executive Vice President of Sales Kelly Wright to Retire by the End of 2016
Kelly Wright has informed the company and board of directors that she plans to retire by the end of 2016. Wright will continue in her role until a replacement is identified and integrated into the company. She will also be active in the search and transition. Wright joined Tableau as the first salesperson in 2005, rose to the top position in 2008 and has led worldwide sales and field operations ever since.
"Kelly has played a key role in our growth," said
Christian Chabot, Chairman, CEO and co-founder of Tableau. "From our start-up phase to our IPO and beyond, Kelly has provided the sales leadership we needed and built a world-class sales team. I thank her deeply for her years of service and dedication to our mission."
"My choice to retire is bittersweet," added Wright. "I love Tableau, our incredible team, and the positive impact we have on our customers. I am extremely proud of all we have built and accomplished together. After 11 years leading sales at Tableau, I look forward to spending more time with my family. I will continue in my current role this year, as we take our time to find and transition to our new global sales and field operations leader."
Additional details about Wright's background can be found on the Tableau website.
