OREANDA-NEWS. LADA Vesta received the highest 4-star rating by the results of the crash-test of Russia's leading motoring magazine "Auto Review", by receiving at the end of the study 14.1 points or 4 stars ARCAP. Thus, LADA Vesta joined the pool of the safest cars in the Russian market, informed the press service of AVTOVAZ.

Experts of "Auto Review" noted that "cell" of interior was hardly deformed (door fell by only 4 mm), the steering wheel and the pedals shifted slightly. Both front airbags and seat belts with pyrotechnic pretensioners, included in the base vehicle equipment, worked normally, and they protected reliably the driver and front passenger. 

Commenting on the results of the crash test, the chief editor of "Auto Review", Michael Podorozhansky noted that test results permit to talk about a high level as a constructive vehicle elaboration, so manufacturing quality; in particular it applies to the body. "If we talk about competitors from the number of cars, produced in Russia, Vesta stood on a par with the leaders of the rating, it is ahead by "stars" than other popular models," - said Mr. Podorozhansky.

"We were expecting a good result bycreating Vesta. In 2014 and 2015 LADA engineers have completed more than 150 virtual and more than 30 real-world crash tests. Maximum four stars of rating show us how high their competence. For the first time the Russian automobile industry has created a car that meets the latest international safety standards without compromise", - said, in his turn, the President of the Group of "AVTOVAZ", Bo Inge Andersson.

We recall that the crash test was conducted under the order and at the expense of the publication "Auto Review" in the Test Center lab of NAMI (Dmitrov polygon). Sedan LADA Vesta in the Comfort version, which is equipped with the same safety features as the standard version of the Classic, was acquired by editors in December of 2015 at an authorized dealer LADA in Perm.

Methods of ARCAP program (Autoreview Car Assessment Program) provides oblique-frontal (with 40 percent overlap) collision with a fixed deformable barrier at speed of 64 km / h. LADA Vesta was the thirty-fifth car, tested under the program.
