OREANDA-NEWS Since May 4, employees of AvtoVAZ JSC have gone on a single corporate vacation, which will last until May 13 inclusive, Chairman of the primary trade union organization of the enterprise Sergey Zaitsev told Interfax.

He also noted that on May 14 and 15, personnel who will not participate in the modernization and repair of equipment, ensuring the ongoing activities of the automaker and new projects, will be sent to idle time with pay.

Earlier it was reported that during the May weekend and corporate vacation, AvtoVAZ will allocate more than 530 million rubles for the installation of new equipment for the launch of Lada Azimut production (production is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2026), modernization of the Lada Niva family assembly line, as well as routine repairs and maintenance of main facilities and production systems..

It is planned to complete all the work by May 18. And from May 14, the lines that are not involved in the current modernization and were stopped during the corporate vacation will be gradually launched.

AvtoVAZ has made changes to the corporate vacation plan, postponing the days of a single corporate vacation from December 29 to December 30 for the period from May 12 to May 13. Initially, the corporate vacation was announced for May 4-8. Thus, AvtoVAZ will extend the all-Russian May holidays by seven days.

AvtoVAZ's production plan for 2026 was approved at the level of 400,000 Lada cars, of which the company planned to sell 370,000 units on the Russian market (against 338.5 thousand units in 2025, meaning sales are expected to grow by 9.3%). AvtoVAZ intends to export another 30 thousand cars this year.
