OREANDA-NEWS   They explained the upcoming rise in price by the complicated delivery of wines from the peninsula after the explosion on the Crimean Bridge in October 2022.

After the emergency, the passage of trucks on the bridge is prohibited. And the opportunities to use the ferry are limited due to queues. As a result, the wine is sent along the land corridor through the territories that became part of Russia in the fall of 2022: along the route Dzhankoy — Melitopol — Mariupol — Rostov-on-Don, explained Valery Zakharin, owner of the Inkerman vintage wine factory.

Director of the Association of Winegrowers and Winemakers of the Crimea "Crimean Bureau of Grapes and Wine" Timofey Mesenyashin confirmed that the delivery of the bulk of wine cargo is carried out through the territories of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, which leads to an increase in the cost of logistics up to 60%, compared with delivery through the Crimean Bridge.

Zakharyin noted that if earlier goods from the Crimea were delivered on average in 36-48 hours, now they travel from 72 to 168 hours. And transport tariffs, according to him, have increased by more than 85% and reached 150,000 rubles per car.

As a result of the increase in the cost of delivery, the rise in price of wine can be up to 15%, Mesenyashin said. Zakharyin noted that due to a good grape harvest in 2022, the company manages not to increase the cost by more than 3-5%. The representative of the retailer "Lenta" said that the Crimean producers declare an increase in the cost of products from 2 to 10% due to the rise in price of wine materials, bottling services and logistics changes.
