OREANDA-NEWS  The Government of the Russian Federation has extended state support measures for coal companies until March 1, 2026, including deferral of mineral extraction tax and insurance contributions and non-collection of arrears of taxes and insurance contributions, the Cabinet said.

"The government has extended certain measures to support coal industry organizations. The decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin... We are talking about deferral of mining taxes and insurance premiums. The deadlines for their payment for coal industry organizations have been extended until February 28, 2026 inclusive. Also, until this date, coal companies will not be subject to penalties for tax debts and insurance premium arrears, provided that bankruptcy proceedings have not been initiated against debtor organizations," the message says.
