Manturov: it is planned to produce 800 thousand cars in Russia in 2023

OREANDA-NEWS The Ministry of Industry and Trade predicts in the coming year an increase in production in the Russian Federation of cars of all segments to at least 800 thousand. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Deputy Prime Minister, the head of the department Denis Manturov.
"We must reach a total production of at least 800 thousand. Last year it was a little over 600 thousand of production; about 800 thousand — directly to the market," Manturov said.
It is noted that the growth of car production in Russia by the end of 2023 may be more than 30%.
Earlier, Denis Manturov announced the adoption of a strategy for the development of the automotive industry in the Russian Federation until 2035. According to him, car prices in the country "continue to stabilize", the cost reduction for some brands is 18%.
