OREANDA-NEWS About 60 million tons of mineral fertilizers are planned to be produced in Russia in 2024, 35 million tons are to be exported, Denis Manturov, Deputy Prime Minister and head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

"We already have plans for the volume of production and export of mineral fertilizers in 2024 – about 60 million tons and 35 million tons, respectively," the Deputy Prime Minister said.

According to him, in 2023, production will grow by 8% in annual terms, to 58.5 million tons, and total exports may increase by 5%, to 33.6 million tons. Thus, in 2024, growth may amount to 2.6% and 4.2%, respectively.
At the same time, this year, according to Manturov, significant work has been done to create new opportunities for transshipment of mineral fertilizers in ports. There has been a reorientation from the Baltic ports to the ports of the Russian Federation, which is important for the development of the industry and the economic security of the country as a whole, he said.
