OREANDA-NEWS Russia and Belarus plan to develop and approve a program for the development of cooperation in the aircraft industry in the next two months, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov said.

"The new direction that we have discussed in detail today is the aviation industry. Traditionally, we have placed and are placing orders for aviation components in Belarus at enterprises… We have agreed to prepare a comprehensive program in the next two months before Innoprom (the exhibition in July in Yekaterinburg – ed.) and approve it at the exhibition," the Russian Deputy Prime Minister said, speaking about the results of his meeting in Minsk with Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko. His words are quoted by Sputnik Belarus.

According to Manturov, the parties are considering the possibility of expanding projects, including the production of final samples for aviation.

He also said that the Belarusian side discussed the development of industrial cooperation "in those areas where there is potential for development, and these are almost all industries – both basic and high-tech." Manturov clarified that it is about cooperation in mechanical engineering, chemical complex, pharmaceuticals, microelectronics, light industry.
