OREANDA-NEWS Russia will try to launch rolling production at a metallurgical plant in Cuba against the background of the difficult situation with the island's energy supply, Roman Chekushov, State Secretary and Deputy head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, told RIA Novosti in an interview.

"We have agreed with our Cuban partners that they are working on an energy supply plan. We will try to launch rolling production after paying off the remaining small debt, which will increase the turnover of metal products and allow us to further develop it with this money," Chekushov said about the project of a metallurgical plant in Cuba.
