OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian Baltika wanted to buy a ready-made snack factory. Kommersant reports that the brewing company is thinking about the production of chips, crackers, dried fish and other snacks, citing sources.

According to experts, such products remain attractive to investors due to stable demand. Russians spend about nine to ten percent of their expenses on consumer goods on the purchase of snacks, said Artur Gafarov, head of the Institute for the Development of Entrepreneurship and Economics.

Snack manufacturers are actively promoting the consumption of their products with beer, added Alexey Popovichev, Executive Director of the Rusbrand Association. Since the company has already developed distribution and has access to federal networks, it will be much easier to bring new products to the shelf in serious volumes.

In the summer of 2024, a large alcohol producer Novabev Group (producer of vodka Beluga, Russian Ice and Arkhangelsk) thought about the possibility of entering the category of snacks and snacks. The company has registered the Fox and Dogs brand for snacks and snacks. Among the reasons for the production of snacks was the availability of its own network of Vinlab alcohol markets, where new products can be sold.
