Serial production of Russian ESP systems will be launched in December

OREANDA-NEWS In December, Itelma plans to start mass production of domestic stabilization systems for cars (ESP) at the plant in Kostroma, they will be delivered to AvtoVAZ for the Lada Vesta model, the company's technical director Andrey Butnev told RIA Novosti.
"According to ESP, we have a planned launch in December, now we are going to certification. In the first half of 2024, it is planned to install systems on AvtoVAZ cars," Butnev said on the sidelines of the Comtrans international commercial vehicle exhibition.
He clarified that the customer is AvtoVAZ. The system is planned to be installed on the Lada Vesta model, which already has an anti-lock braking system (ABS) manufactured by Itelma. The production of the first domestic ABS was established at the enterprise in July of this year.
"AvtoVAZ, in turn, confirmed to RIA Novosti plans to start installing domestic ESP systems on LadaVesta in the first half of 2024.
