OREANDA-NEWS  American Mars, one of the main confectionery manufacturers in the world, has replaced the head of this business in Russia. Mikhail Bazanov, ex-head of Mars in Central Asia, took the place of Moher Batruni, who headed the segment since 2017. Experts do not see fundamental difficulties for the new head and business of the company, but they note that "at the moment Mars is experiencing political pressure."

Mikhail Bazanov became the president of the Russian division of the American Mars LLC on July 11, it follows from the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. In this position, he replaced Maher Batruni, who in 2013-2017 was CEO of Wrigley in Russia, then headed the combined segment of Mars Wrigley Confectionery and became president of Mars LLC. Mikhail Bazanov, according to Linkedin data, has been running the Mars business in Central Asia, the Caucasus, Belarus and Turkey with headquarters in Kazakhstan since 2016.
