OREANDA-NEWS  The Baltic Coast Trading house plans to invest about 5 billion rubles in the construction of a fish processing plant on Sofiyskaya Street in the Frunzensky district of St. Petersburg. This was announced by the company's CEO Anna Sheveleva on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2024) to journalists on Thursday.

Sheveleva and the Vice-governor of St. Petersburg Kirill Polyakov signed an agreement on cooperation in the implementation of the project at SPIEF 2024 on Thursday.

The area of the enterprise will be 2-3 thousand square meters. meters. The implementation of the project will increase the volume of the company's fish production by at least 50 thousand tons per year. The construction is expected to be completed in 2026. About 500 jobs will be created within the framework of the project.

At the same time, the company's existing site on Mineralnaya Street in the Kalininsky district of the city will continue to operate.

The Baltic Coast trading house was established in 2000. The company manufactures more than 350 types of products, annually processes about 70 thousand tons of fish and produces 23% of fish products on the Russian market. Currently, the company has four production sites: in St. Petersburg, the Leningrad region, in the city of Vyazma, the Smolensk region and the Republic of Mari El.
