OREANDA-NEWS  A new 1.8-liter atmospheric engine with a capacity of 90 hp and 153 Nm of torque will be installed under the hood of the model — 10 hp and 24 Nm more than on the pre-reform version. The manufacturer also notes increased fuel efficiency: gasoline consumption here is reduced by up to 30%, to 9.0 liters per 100 km of travel. A 5-speed manual transmission works in conjunction with the unit.

The novelty has acquired a number of new equipment for itself. For example, for the first time, an SUV is equipped with a driver's airbag, and the list also includes air conditioning, a central lock, and a single key for the doors and ignition lock.

Externally, the restyled car can be distinguished by the hood trim and 16-inch two-tone wheels.

Production of the updated Lada Niva Legend SUV will begin on July 20, 2026, after which the car will reach the brand's dealerships. The terms of the start of sales will be announced later.

It is worth noting that this year the model turns 49 years old.
