OREANDA-NEWS. The head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin finds it amusing to see how Russian metallurgists are ready to fight for the opportunity to supply their products to the Tesla plant, if it appears in Russia.

So he commented on the statement of the general director of Severstal Alexander Shevelev - according to the top manager, the emergence of the Elon Musk plant "will mean the emergence of a new, ambitious challenge for all metallurgists" in Russia.

Rogozin wrote in his Telegram channel: "And Russian glaziers will fight for the opportunity to supply glass for this factory. Every Russian capitalist dreams of screwing his own button on this fashionable frock coat. It's funny to watch."

It is recalled that Elon Musk said on May 21 that Tesla could soon enter the Russian market, as well as create its own production in the country. The Ministry of Industry and Trade, in turn, invited the businessman to Moscow to discuss the construction of the company's plant in the Russian Federation.

After Musk's statement, the governors of a number of Russian regions - Moscow, Kaluga, Kaliningrad regions, as well as the head of Udmurtia, announced their readiness to discuss and support the construction of a plant in their regions. Moscow authorities have also announced assistance in localizing Tesla production in Moscow.

Musk also announced his intention to officially launch sales of Tesla electric cars in Russia.
