OREANDA-NEWS  The Central Research Institute "Burevestnik" (part of the Uralvagonzavod concern of the Rostec State Corporation), as part of the state defense order, prematurely shipped a large batch of 2B24 82 mm and 2B11 120 mm mortars to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the press service of Uralvagonzavod (UVZ) told reporters on Tuesday.

"JSC "Central Research Institute "Burevestnik", thanks to the hard work of the team, fulfilled the state defense order and prematurely shipped to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation a large batch of 2B24 82 mm mortars, 2B11 120 mm mortars, spare parts and repair kits for the restoration of these weapons in the zone of a special military operation. The overhaul of 120-mm mortar complexes 2S12 has also been carried out," the UVZ said.

These mortars are deservedly in demand in the troops and allow them to effectively solve tasks. "Thanks to the skill of the designers, the mortars of the Central Research Institute "Burevestnik" are among the best in the world in many characteristics, are in service with the Russian army, have proven themselves to be reliable and trouble-free weapons and are in great demand by Russian servicemen performing their own tasks," said Igor Meshkov, Director for Special Assignments of Concern Uralvagonzavod JSC.

The simplicity of the design of these mortars and the possibility of quick disassembly into component parts ensure their high maneuverability. They meet all the requirements for modern artillery weapons and, thanks to the wide range of ammunition used, high rate of fire and accuracy of fire, they can effectively solve firing tasks in modern combat.
