OREANDA-NEWS  The production of the Russian-Belarusian Osvey aircraft is planned to be organized at the Sokol aviation plant in Nizhny Novgorod, said Anton Alikhanov, head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.

"We really planned and are planning, UAC plans to place production and assembly here," Alikhanov said about aircraft production at the Sokol Aviation plant in Nizhny Novgorod.

The Minister added that the second stage of the Osvey project is currently underway. The authorities of Russia and Belarus will discuss the progress of work on the aircraft tomorrow.

The LMS-192 Osvey is a light multi-purpose twin-engine aircraft for local and regional lines. His appearance was first presented in September 2025 as part of the Innoprom exhibition.Belarus".

In November last year, the Federal Air Transport Agency announced that an application for certification of the Osvey aircraft with Russian VK-800 engines had been submitted to the department and the Aviation Registry of the Russian Federation. The aircraft type certificate is scheduled for 2029.
