OREANDA-NEWS  The Kerch Shipbuilding Plant named after Butoma (part of the Ak Bars Corporation) hosted a solemn ceremony of admission to the Russian Navy of the small rocket ship "Cyclone", the Ministry of Defense reported.

"Today in the city of Kerch, at the B. E. Butoma Shipyard, a solemn ceremony was held for the admission of the small rocket ship Cyclone into the Russian Navy and the raising of the St. Andrew's Naval flag on it. According to naval tradition, Admiral Evmenov handed over the naval flag to the commander of the ship. By order of the commander-in-chief, the ship was enlisted in the Black Sea Fleet.

"The ship will strengthen the surface component of the Black Sea Fleet and will effectively perform tasks for its intended purpose as part of detachments and groupings of the fleet," the commander—in-chief said at the ceremony. Evmenov also noted the professionalism and skill of the Kerch shipbuilders and presented the distinguished factory workers with medals "Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union S. G. Gorshkov".
