OREANDA-NEWS  TEK-COM Production LLC (the former Swedish SKF plant) plans to implement a new investment project for the production of conical and ball bearings in the Borovlyovo-2 industrial zone by 2027, the press service of the Tver Region government reports.

The project was considered on Friday at a meeting of the interdepartmental commission on land relations under the regional government .

"By 2027, it is planned to complete another project - the development of the production of conical and ball bearings, which are in demand in the Russian industry. The construction of the production site is scheduled to begin in March 2024," the report says.

Currently, TEK-COM Production is implementing several investment projects, two of which are in the active stage.

In particular, the technology of production of bearings with rolling elements of increased service life is being introduced.

A new production workshop is also under construction - this project is carried out within the framework of the SPIC 2.0 contract signed with the Government of the Russian Federation and the government of the Tver Region for 100% localization of components for axle box railway bearings.

Thanks to the implementation of all the announced plans, more than 200 new jobs will be created, tax deductions to the budget will amount to about 330 million rubles, the message emphasizes.

Earlier it was reported that in order to expand the production of railway bearings, TEK-COM Production LLC plans to build a new workshop with a warehouse area of more than 3.2 thousand square meters, which will be located next to the existing plant. In the new areas, the procurement of rollers for bearings will be organized - from the rod to the final product. The production capacity, tentatively, will be 80 thousand railway bearings per year.

The agreement of intent on the construction of the second stage of the plant was signed during SPIEF-2022. It was noted that the volume of investments in the project will amount to 477 million rubles. The project implementation period is until 2028.
