Megafon filed a lawsuit in the EU court demanding the lifting of the sanctions imposed against it

OREANDA-NEWS Megafon has filed a lawsuit with the European Court of Justice for the lifting of sanctions against the company, the official journal of the EU reports.
The European Union imposed sanctions against the telecom operator on February 25. Megafon reported that it was exploring opportunities to challenge this decision, noting that the sanctions do not provide for serious restrictions for businesses or subscribers.
In a statement, the company called the grounds for imposing sanctions insufficient.
In April 2023, Megafon was included in the US sanctions list, on February 24, 2023 - in the list of export restrictions from the US Department of Commerce. The operator reported that he intended to challenge these decisions as well.
