OREANDA-NEWS If the Russian Armed Forces (AF) continue to attack Azerbaijan's gas facilities in Ukraine, Baku may lift the arms embargo on Kiev. This is reported by Caliber, citing sources.
The sources of the publication came to this conclusion after a telephone conversation between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky. They discussed attacks by the Russian Armed Forces on Ukraine's gas infrastructure, through which Azerbaijani gas passes, as well as on SOCAR's oil base in Odessa.
The publication noted that Russian troops began to launch successive attacks on Azerbaijani facilities in Ukraine. This forces Baku to take retaliatory measures and greatly worsens its relations with Russia, the Caliber journalists concluded.
Earlier, Zelensky said that he had informed Aliyev about Russian strikes on energy facilities in Ukraine. In his opinion, this is a deliberate attempt by Moscow to block energy routes that guarantee Kiev and European countries energy independence.
