OREANDA-NEWS  Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Reinsalu suggested that the EU member states reduce the ceiling on prices for Russian oil.

Reinsalu, who is participating in a meeting of the Council for Foreign Affairs of the European Union in Brussels, stressed that in addition to the introduction of new restrictions against Moscow, everything must be done to ensure that it does not manage to circumvent existing measures.

"In addition to additional sanctions, we must quickly lower the established ceiling on oil prices, because Russia is financing the war in Ukraine at the expense of the profits received," he urged.

Earlier, Reinsalu called for the transfer of a million artillery shells to Ukraine in six months. His proposal was criticized by his Polish colleague Zbigniew Rau, who said that the European Union does not have time to produce ammunition for Kiev.
