EU doubled purchases of Russian LNG in March

OREANDA-NEWS In March, the European Union almost doubled its purchases of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Russia in monthly terms - imports exceeded $ 900 million, RIA Novosti estimated according to Eurostat.
In March, EU countries imported $933 million worth of natural gas from Russia, compared with $508.3 million in February. Thus, the amount of imports increased 1.8 times in a month.
Spain (with supplies of $358.9 million), France ($320.4 million) and Belgium ($253.8 million) became the largest buyers of liquefied natural gas from the Russian Federation among the EU.
