OREANDA-NEWS  In the first six months of 2025, the total volume of Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies to the European Union (EU) increased by 7 percent compared to the same period in 2024. This is reported by TASS with reference to data from the American Institute of Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA).

During the reporting period, Russian exporters provided 16 percent of all LNG supplies to the EU, which experts estimated at 73.1 billion cubic meters. Russia's revenues from the sale of this fuel to the European energy market reached 4.5 billion euros in January-June. The total cost of all LNG supplies to the EU during this time amounted to 30.4 billion euros. The vast majority came from the United States. American exporters have raised 16.8 billion euros from sales of liquefied natural gas to the region, the analysts concluded.
