OREANDA-NEWS  Exchange prices for gas in Europe have increased significantly since the beginning of the New Year's week — by 2.8 percent to Friday's estimated price, being just below $ 352 per thousand cubic meters, according to data from the London ICE exchange.

January (upcoming) futures on the TTF index (Europe's largest hub located in the Netherlands) opened trading at 10:00 Moscow time at $ 349.9 (plus 2.3%). And as of 10:08 Moscow time, their cost is 351.7 dollars (plus 2.8%). The dynamics of quotations is based on the estimated price of the previous trading day — $ 342.1 per thousand cubic meters.

At the same time, last autumn and winter, in mid-February, exchange—traded gas in Europe was significantly more expensive - quotations exceeded $ 630 per thousand cubic meters for the first time in two years.
