Expert: Russia has been provided with oil for more than 150 years by the current volume of production

OREANDA-NEWS Russia is provided with oil reserves and resources in aggregate for a period of more than 150 years based on current production volumes, Alexander Amiragyan, head of the "Economics of Fuel and Energy Industries" of the CSR, told RIA Novosti.
"Oil reserves and resources total about 87 billion tons, which can ensure oil production for more than 150 years based on the current annual production volumes," the expert said.
Amiragyan noted that according to the data for the beginning of 2021, reserves in Russia in all categories amounted to about 31 billion tons, which allows for production within 60-65 years. At the same time, the country also has oil resources - about 56 billion tons, but these volumes require additional work to be transferred to the category of reserves.
