OREANDA-NEWS  The cost of Ai-95 gasoline set a record for the second day in a row, amounting to 71.6 thousand rubles per ton, according to trading data on the St. Petersburg International Commodity Exchange.

The exchange price of this brand of fuel turned out to be 1.05 percent more than on August 23, when a ton of Ai-95 was given a little less than 71 thousand rubles. At the same time, the cost of Ai-92 gasoline at the auction on August 24 decreased by 0.1 percent, to 63 thousand rubles per ton. Diesel fuel also fell slightly — by 0.2 percent, to 66.3 thousand rubles per ton.

Above 70 thousand rubles, the cost of Ai-95 rose amid reports of a shortage of gasoline and diesel at gas stations in a number of Russian regions. Interruptions were recorded in Astrakhan, Saratov, Samara, Ryazan, Rostov, Novosibirsk and Volgograd regions, Kalmykia, Khabarovsk Krai and Crimea.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Energy clarified that the level of production of gasoline and diesel fuel at Russian refineries is sufficient to meet the needs of the population, farmers and industry. At the same time, the agency announced taking under special control the rhythm of fuel supplies to the southern regions. A special headquarters is working to optimize logistics costs for all participants.
