OREANDA-NEWS Gazprom can supply gas under the Turkish stream project to Bulgaria, Hungary, Serbia and Slovakia. The media published this information, the company is already involved in the procedure of booking new pipeline capacities in these countries.

According to the publication, published in October and November materials of gas transport operators in Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary and Slovakia in the framework of booking their future capacity (open season) showed that the route of deliveries to Europe on the second line of the "Turkish stream" will pass through these countries.

The relevant procedure is provided for by the legislation of the European Union and is necessary for the construction of new gas pipelines. Thus, the operator offers market participants to purchase future capacity, after the auction to build them by the appointed date, and buyers pay through the tariff for pumping.

According to the newspaper, "Bulgartransgas" is going to hold an auction for the future capacity of gas pipelines at the entrance to the Bulgarian part of Turkey and at the exit to Serbia in December. At the same time, it is reported that the operators of Hungary, Austria and Slovakia have already held an auction for booking new capacities at the end of October. Deliveries to Bulgaria and Serbia through the "Turkish stream" Gazprom "plans to start in 2020, in Hungary - in 2021, and in Slovakia - in the second half of 2022.

According to media reports, the company plans to book all the proposed capacity. Gazprom declined to comment this information.

In mid-November, Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in an interview with the Serbian newspaper Telegraf stressed that the" Turkish stream" can be routed through the territory of Bulgaria, Serbia and Hungary. About the same probability said last summer and the head of "Gazprom"  Alexei Miller.
