OREANDA-NEWS Gazprom's revenue under IFRS in 2024 increased by 25%, to 10.7 trillion rubles, said Deputy Chairman of the company's board Famil Sadygov, quoted by the official Telegram channel.

"This is the second highest result in Gazprom's history. Revenue growth was provided by each segment of the group's business," he noted.

Gazprom Group's net profit amounted to 1.219 trillion rubles against a loss of 629.1 billion a year earlier, which, as the top manager noted, was largely due to non-monetary items of expenditure.

"Net profit was significantly supported by a decrease in negative exchange differences on foreign currency obligations, as well as an increase in interest income from the placement of funds, which offset an increase in interest expenses," Sadygov commented.

Net profit, adjusted for non-monetary items, amounted to 1.433 trillion rubles, which is twice as high as in 2023.

"In 2024, in particular, the group's capital investments were reduced by three percent to 2.4 trillion rubles, despite inflationary pressures," explained the deputy chairman of the company's management board.

It is noted that the reduction in investments occurred due to continuous work on the control of operational and capital costs.
