OREANDA-NEWS Gazprom supplies gas through the Suja gas measuring station in the amount of 40.3 million cubic meters as of May 28. This is reported by TASS with reference to a representative of Gazprom.

Gazprom supplies Russian gas for transit through the territory of Ukraine in the volume confirmed by the Ukrainian side through GIS Sudzha — 40.3 million cubic meters as of May 28. The application for GIS "Sokhranovka" has been rejected," the representative of Gazprom said.

The day before, the fuel supply level for Europe through Suju was 40.7 million cubic meters.

The transit line through Ukraine now remains the only route for Russian gas supplies to the countries of Western and Central Europe after the destruction of the Nord Stream. On April 25, the office of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky proposed to ban direct supplies of Russian gas to the European Union bypassing the territory of Ukraine. Then it was noted that this measure is aimed at stopping the use of the "Turkish Stream" for the supply of Russian gas to Europe.

Exchange prices for gas in Europe on May 25 fell below $300 per thousand cubic meters on a record. The price of the June futures on the TTF hub in the Netherlands fell to $297.06 per thousand cubic meters, and the July futures fell to $267.56 per thousand cubic meters. Exchange prices for gas in the EU began to decline in mid-May. So, on May 18, the indicators fell below $ 350 per thousand cubic meters. A number of experts explained this decrease by the end of the heating season in the European Union.

Some analysts noted that European industrialists, against the background of lower gas prices, began to move their production to North America and China.
