OREANDA-NEWS  Florian Philippot, a French politician and leader of the nationalist Patriots party, said it was pointless for the West to purchase oil from India, since India, in turn, buys fuel from Russia. He shared his opinion on his personal Twitter account.

"The EU and France are massively buying up oil in India, which is imported from Russia! It's the same with the USA: we buy from America, which buys from India, which buys from Russia! And much more expensive than before," Filippo was indignant. He called for the lifting of anti-Russian sanctions, since Western countries suffer from them, first of all.

In February, it was reported about an increase in the supply of gasoline and diesel fuel from India to the United States at the expense of Russian oil. So, in January, deliveries accounted for 40 percent of total imports, which is on average equal to 89 thousand barrels per day.
