OREANDA-NEWS  In Germany, by the first of January, Gas for Europe GmbH, which was a subsidiary of Nord Stream 2 AG and was established to certify the gas pipeline operator according to German laws, was liquidated, the T-online news portal reported on Friday.

"The Gas for Europe gas pipeline management company was liquidated by the first of January. This means that certification by the Federal Network Agency goes into a very distant future," the portal writes with reference to the documents at its disposal.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said in an interview with reporters yesterday that it is too early to talk about the possibility of resuming gas supplies via the surviving branch of the Nord Stream, it will depend on the results of a survey of the integrity of the infrastructure, which is not yet available. Supplies via the Nord Stream, which was the main route of gas supplies from Russia to Europe, have been significantly reduced since mid-June due to technical problems caused by sanctions after the start of a special military operation in Ukraine, and since the end of August have stopped altogether.
