OREANDA-NEWS  Following the results of the inspection, Rostransnadzor suspended the operation of one of the oil loading berths of the Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (NCSP), part of the Transneft Group, for 90 days, and all violations were ordered to be eliminated by June 30, 2025, Transneft reported.

"According to the results of the inspection organized by Rostransnadzor on behalf of the government of the Russian Federation, for 90 The work of the 8th oil loading berth of NCSP PJSC has been suspended for several days," the report says.

Such checks, as specified, are now being carried out unscheduled in the seaports of Novorossiysk, Taman, Tuapse and other Black Sea cities. They are conducted in connection with an emergency after the tanker crash in the Kerch Strait in December last year and aim to ensure compliance with the requirements for preventing pollution of the marine area with oil and petroleum products, the company notes.

"In relation to PJSC NCSP, which is part of the Transneft Group, an unscheduled on-site inspection was conducted from March 27 to March 31, 2025, on the basis of instructions from Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Savelyev by the Federal Service for Supervision of Transport (Rostransnadzor). According to its results, a number of violations of the technical regulations on the safety of marine transport facilities have been identified," the report says.

On the basis of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation, the authorized bodies will consider the issue of bringing NCSP PJSC to justice. A temporary ban has been imposed on the eighth oil loading berth.
"NCSP PJSC is ordered to eliminate all identified violations by June 30, 2025," the company added.
