OREANDA-NEWS  About 1.2 million people remain without electricity in the regions of the Russian Federation due to adverse weather conditions. The full restoration of power supply will take up to three days, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Energy Yevgeny Grabchak said on the Rossiya-24 TV channel.

"1.9 million people in five regions of the Russian Federation were de-energized, at the moment it is about 1.2 million people. These are mainly the Southern Federal District, the North Caucasus Federal District, the Republic of Dagestan, Crimea, Krasnodar Territory, Kherson, Zaporozhye regions, LNR, DNR, Rostov Region," the deputy minister said.

"We hope that with the joint efforts of power engineers with the help of regional authorities, we will be able to completely eliminate interruptions in electricity supply within two or three days," he added.

Grabchak noted that the main networks in Dagestan will be restored by the end of the day, and emergency recovery work in the main network of the Krasnodar Territory and the Rostov Region will also be completed. Distribution networks and applications of 0.4 kV will remain.
