In the United States, TikTokers were Offered to Blame the President of the Russian Federation for the Rise in Gasoline Prices
Russia is one of the three largest oil producers and is actually its No. 1 source of income. Now <...> no one wants to work with it and engage in international trade, Zeiler said.
Zeiler was one of 30 TikTok stars who attended an online meeting March 10 with White House officials and National Security Council staff. At the meeting, White House Director of Digital Strategy Rob Flaherty said he considers TikToker reach to be "critical" to the American public. The discussion was said to have focused on the "strategic goals of the US government in Ukraine" and was meant to enable TikTokers to "better debunk disinformation."
Zeiler herself asked officials about inflation and what it means for the future of the country and for young people. White House press secretary Jen Psaki attributed the inflation to supply chain problems, the pandemic, and rising energy costs, which, in turn, were linked to Russia's actions in Ukraine.
Earlier it was reported that gasoline prices at gas stations in the United States reached an all-time high. It is noted that the cost of gasoline has overcome the mark of $ 4.17 per gallon (3.785 liters). The previous record of $4.11 per gallon was in 2008.
