India has increased oil purchases in Russia

OREANDA-NEWS India has increased oil purchases from Russia, Indian Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry Rajesh Agarwal said.
"We buy Russian oil. The volume of purchases from Russia has increased," Agarwal said.
The US authorities are trying to bring down oil prices, which have soared due to the attack of the United States and Israel on Iran. First, Washington lifted sanctions on India's purchase of Russian oil, which had been loaded onto tankers before March 5. And then all the Russian oil and petroleum products loaded onto ships as of March 12. All transactions with them are now exempt from any restrictions from Washington.
