OREANDA-NEWS  Russia expects to increase coal exports to the Indian market. This was stated by the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Sergey Tsivilev. He was quoted by TASS.

He recalled that India is one of the major consumers of Russian coal. According to him, by 2035 these supplies will reach 40 million tons.

Prior to that, data was published according to which quotes of thermal coal in the world, which were already at multi-year lows, continued to fall in October. The reason for this dynamic was the lack of demand. Experts believe that the market will stabilize until 2027. It will be supported by an increase in energy consumption from data centers.

In addition, there are forecasts that Russian exports may find support from India's request for coking coal, as this BRICS country is going to increase steel production to 300 million tons. And this will require significant supplies.
