OREANDA-NEWS  KazTransOil, the national operator of Kazakhstan, announced an increase in tariffs for the transit of Russian oil through the TON-2 section from January 1. This decision is reported on the official website of the company.

Now, according to the operator's updated data, the cost of transit over a distance of one thousand kilometers is 11.28 dollars without VAT. This decision was approved by the Chairman of the company's Management Board in early December.

It is clarified that before that, the cost of transit per thousand kilometers was $ 9.3. Such parameters were agreed back in 2018.

TON-2 has a capacity of 10 million tons per year. At the same time, the design capacity reaches 18 million tons per year. As specified, a section with a length of 186.25 kilometers runs through the territory of Kazakhstan — through it oil from Russia is supplied to the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant, then part is sent to China and Uzbekistan.

In December 2023, it also became known that Kazakhstan had agreed with Russia on oil supplies to Germany. In 2024, about 1.2 million tons of oil should be sent to Germany through Druzhba.
