Oil shipments by sea from Russia have fallen
Source: OREANDA-NEWS
OREANDA-NEWS According to the results of the week ending March 15, offshore oil exports from Russia amounted to 399 thousand tons per day, which is 6.7 percent less than a week earlier. Kommersant writes about this with reference to the Center for Price Indices (CIC).
According to analysts, such dynamics against the background of a sharp increase in world prices for raw materials related to the conflict in Iran is explained by the purchase of Russian oil reserves accumulated at sea. Since the United States temporarily suspended sanctions against them, the number of people willing to purchase shipments stuck in tankers has increased dramatically.
At the same time, in the period from March 9 to March 15, shipments from Novorossiysk fell by 14.1 percent, to 48 thousand tons per day, and from the Baltic ports (Ust-Luga and Primorsk) — by 6.8 percent, to 164 thousand tons. Shipments from the Far Eastern port of Kozmino remained at the level of 143 thousand tons.
