OREANDA-NEWS  In January - September 2022, Rosneft increased oil sales for export to non-CIS countries by 4.8% - up to 77.3 million tons, including to Asia - by almost a third, up to 52.4 million tons, the company said. As a result of the optimization of sales channels, Rosneft increased the share of Asian countries to 77% of exports and fully compensated for the decrease in sales to Europe with supplies to Asia.

"In the first nine months of 2022, the company increased its hydrocarbon production and successfully optimized sales channels: oil supplies in the Asian direction increased by about a third and fully compensated for the decline in supplies to European buyers," Igor Sechin, the head of the company, said in a statement.

In general, the volume of oil sales by the company during the reporting period increased by 3.3% to 86.9 million tons. "At the same time, thanks to the successful optimization of sales channels in non-CIS countries, 77.3 million tons were sold, or 4.8% more year-on-year. Oil supplies to Asian buyers increased by about a third during the reporting period, to 52.4 million tons. In the third quarter of 2022, the share of the Asian direction in the structure of oil sales in non-CIS countries reached a record 77%," the report says.

Earlier, Sechin said that Rosneft remains the main Russian supplier of oil to China, providing 7% of the total demand of the Chinese market for raw materials. According to him, Russia has increased oil supplies to China by 9.5% in 10 months, to 72 million tons, taking second place among suppliers.
