Rosneft brought the share of Asian countries in oil exports to 77%
"In the first nine months of 2022, the company increased its hydrocarbon production and successfully optimized sales channels: oil supplies in the Asian direction increased by about a third and fully compensated for the decline in supplies to European buyers," Igor Sechin, the head of the company, said in a statement.
In general, the volume of oil sales by the company during the reporting period increased by 3.3% to 86.9 million tons. "At the same time, thanks to the successful optimization of sales channels in non-CIS countries, 77.3 million tons were sold, or 4.8% more year-on-year. Oil supplies to Asian buyers increased by about a third during the reporting period, to 52.4 million tons. In the third quarter of 2022, the share of the Asian direction in the structure of oil sales in non-CIS countries reached a record 77%," the report says.
Earlier, Sechin said that Rosneft remains the main Russian supplier of oil to China, providing 7% of the total demand of the Chinese market for raw materials. According to him, Russia has increased oil supplies to China by 9.5% in 10 months, to 72 million tons, taking second place among suppliers.
