Russia to build a thermal power plant in northern Afghanistan
"Our business is still testing Islamic financial norms that are being implemented by the Taliban (the Taliban movement is recognized as a terrorist in Russia and is prohibited), but does not stand still. Just a few days ago, a memorandum on the construction of a thermal power plant in the north of Afghanistan was signed in Kabul," Dmitry Zhirnov said on the Rossiya 24 TV channel.
On the eve of the Russian Ambassador to Tajikistan, Semyon Grigoriev, said that after coming to power in Afghanistan, the Taliban did not fulfill any of their promises, including not eliminating the threat of terrorist acts.
On February 8, a meeting of the secretaries of the security councils of several countries on Afghanistan was held in Moscow. Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev said that the situation in Afghanistan continues to "rapidly degrade." According to him, it's not the Taliban's fault.
